Mission Statement
In business, government, and education, people at every level of an organization must learn
to reason fair-mindedly with skillful consideration of consequences and be able to solve
problems, make decisions, and exercise leadership move the organization forward. Trusted
by employers and educators for more than 30 years, Measured Reasons, LLC provides
world leading training workshops and learning materials to develop participants’ reasoning

Continuous Quality Improvement
Our organization evaluates success toward our mission by weekly online course completion rates,
quarterly reviews of enrollment trends, and client / student satisfaction feedback. This success is
demonstrated by enrollment reports and client & learner satisfaction survey summary reports.
Respect for Intellectual Property Policy
Measured reasons shall rigorously respect the intellectual property rights, copyrights, trademark, and
publication rights of all the individuals and organizations with which it does business.
Copyright Display Policy
Measured Reasons LLC shall display the copyrights of all the training and assessment materials used in
its educational and consulting activities. This applies not only to those materials for which Measured
Reasons LLC owns the copyrights, but to materials used by Measured Reasons LLC that are copyright
protected by others.
Intellectual Property Rights Statement
All assessment instruments, PowerPoint slides, videos, learning modules, essays, reports, and other
materials developed by the MR trainers, consultants, or authors is the property of Measured Reasons,
LLC. The only exceptions to this are those materials produced under a contract which includes explicit
provision for the transfer of some or all intellectual property rights or copyrights to another agency.
Such contracts are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. It is the policy of Measured Reasons LLC that
such contracts include explicit language requiring that “the provider discloses, in advance of the
learning event, any proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service or materials
discussed in the event.”
Materials developed by the MR trainers, consultants, authors are protected by international copyrights.
These materials may not be duplicated, copied, replicated, digitized, posted, displayed or reproduced in
whole or in part in paper or electronically or by any means without the prior written consent and
agreement of the copyright holders, author(s) and publisher. Training materials and associated
assessments may not be posted on either the public or any internal Internet. By purchasing training
through MR, the buyer certifies that he/she has read, understands and accepts the notices, advisories
and the purchaser requirements as indicated at the Insight Assessment and Measured Reasons
websites, price quotes, and the sales orders. The buyer and buyer's organization agree that by
accessing Measured Reasons training and assessment materials used in its educational and consulting
activities for any purpose, including but not limited to preview before purchase or on-site PowerPoint
presentations, neither the buyer nor the buyer's organization shall create, design, develop, publish,
market, or distribute any comparable or competitive training materials for a period of up to four years
from the date of the most recent access to on-site, digital, or paper versions of any Measured Reasons
LLC training materials.
Proprietary Interest Disclosure
From time to time Measured Reasons LLC, its trainers and its consultants receive royalties from their
publishers on sales of scholarly works they authored, including textbooks and assessment instruments.
However, when conducting a training workshop for a client, MR trainers shall not, as a general practice,
promote or sell products or services of any kind directly to that client’s workshop participants. If an MR
trainer is an author who receives a publisher royalty from a scholarly work mentioned in a training
workshop or a consulting visit, it is the policy of Measured Reasons LLC that the trainer is to disclose
their proprietary interest as an author at the time that work is mentioned.
Privacy and Data Security
The privacy of our customers and test takers is very important to Measured Reasons, LLC. It is the
policy of MR not to share nor sell the personal information of our clients or CEU workshops to anyone
for any purpose. Please find below the relevant Privacy and Data Security policies that appear on the
MR website.
Privacy
Our commitment to privacy extends to clients, workshop participants, test takers, and website
users.
o
Measured Reasons (MR) is the sole owner of the registration and session sign in information
collected for a MR training workshop. We only have access to and collect information that you
voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.
We do not sell or rent any information we collect to anyone. We use your information to respond
to you, regarding the reason you contacted us.
o
If you have participated in an IACET accredited CEU workshop you will receive correspondence
regarding your registration and credit completion status.
o
You might receive occasional email from us describing our services and solutions. If you don't
want to receive communication from us or believe your information has not been handled correctly,
click “unsubscribe” in the email message.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your
information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example,
billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The
computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure
environment.
Measured Reasons is committed to maintaining individual and client confidentiality of all data and
datasets collected via our app based, browser based, LMS and paper and pencil testing systems.
Measured Reasons does not disclose any personal information associated with any data we
collect.
Measured Reasons does not release or disclose test-taker data except to the client who contracted
to collect or who collected the data.

Disclosure of stored client account information to the client themselves is permitted for the
purposes of assuring accurate record keeping.
o
Disclosure of stored CEU participant transcript information to the participant themselves is
permitted for the purposes of assuring accurate record keeping.
o
CEU participant identity verification is necessary for release of transcript information
Measured Reasons endorses the standards of the American Psychological Association in the use
of individual difference data gathered during the testing of human subjects. Toward this end, and to
maximize the ethical use of data collected as a function of the use of our products, we require
purchasers of our products to provide evidence of their qualification as a test administrator.
We require all purchasers protect the personal privacy of test takers in the online collection,
storage and use of individual or summary data.
We are not responsible for the maintenance of personal privacy related to the actions of clients in
the collection, storage or use of data derived from the use of our products.
We do not publish the names of institutions whose data are included in assessment and
comparison percentile projects.

We do not publish the names of clients or participants whose data are included CEU workshop
transcript database.
Data Security
Measured Reasons is focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for workshop
participants, website users, test takers and clients.
Measured Reasons and its partner Insight Assessment uses encryption technology (including
HTTPS and test taker access code technology) in our online systems to safeguard your results, protect
the privacy of the test takers, maintain confidentiality and protect the high impact nature of client
projects. Database security and backup procedures are in place to protect all assessment data.
Measured Reasons and Insight Assessment maintain strict adherence to the protection of all
personal data collected as a function of the purchase and products and services in keeping with the
concerns about the impact of the expansion of electronic networks on information privacy, and
congruent with the ethical considerations of research on human subjects.
Assessment construction and validation is conducted under the highest psychometric standards
of each type of instrument. General psychometric information is reported in each assessment manual.
Limited psychometric information is available to clients for research support purposes. Translation
colleagues are provided with psychometric analyses of their validation sample datasets.
Protection of workshop participation and testing data collected through any Measured Reasons or
California Academic Press electronic and online systems: Access to the client database is
undergraduate and graduate level limited to persons at the client organization who have knowledge of
the credentials for the client account, and to technical staff at Measured Reasons or Insight Assessment
/ the California Academic Press, who provide technical support to the client in their use of our systems.
o
Measured Reasons and Insight Assessment do due diligence in the protection of access to its
database servers and maintain the highest standards in data protection.
o
The protection of the client’s credential is the responsibility of the client. Changes to the client
credentials can be made by the client at any time. Protection of the credentials is the responsibility of
the client.
Attention to data security also pertains to data collected or transmitted when: 1) establishing
client accounts for the purchase of products; 2) processing bank transfers, checks, electronic payments,
or purchase orders; 3) providing test taker access to products in electronic or paper-and-pencil format;
4) delivering testing to clients and test takers of clients; 5) the shipment of products; 6) transmission of
scores; 7) return of scored assessment forms to clients; 8) assistance to test takers using the online
testing system; 9) assisting clients to manage the online testing system.
